609S Jib Reefing System With Turnbuckle Mounting (replaces 608S)
The 609 drum cheeks swivel through 360 degrees.These cheeks protect the reefing drum efficiently and the round unobtrusive design, combined with recessed screws, allow the free running of the ropes. Reefing drum features highly resistant stainless steel and Delrin ball bearings. Halyard swivel features Torlon and Delrin ball bearings which enhances the overall performance and increases the mechanical resistance.
Key Features:
- Suitable fore boats from 6-9 metres.
- Turnbuckle mounting. Allows for more accurate rigging adjustments. However, the tack point will have to be positioned slightly higher depending on the turnbuckle size
- Forestay diameter: 4-7mm.
- Maximum headsail size: 25 square metres.
- Luffrope diameter: 6.5mm.
- Drum sheet capacity: 13 metres (6mm rope.)
- Spar design: S-series The S-series jib reefing features a single groove spar. It's patented assembly system allows for very easy installation with no need to remove the existing forestay.
