"The active ingredient in Star brite Instant Fresh Toilet Treatment is a mixture of Quaternary Ammonium Compounds. These chemicals are very effective disinfectants which stop the growth of bacteria, viruses, algae and fungus. By killing bacteria, viruses and other biological growth, odors are suppressed while health hazards are virtually eliminated. The dyes used are standard inactive and inert chemical colorants. The various scents we use are inactive and inert perfumes which work in the quaternary ammonium compound formula environment.7quot;
