I understand these fasteners are for use between surfaces at 90 degrees to each other are they also suitable for surfaces at 120degrees to each other?

I have a 1903 Pilot Cutter with 4 opening skylight window panels. I would like to provide them with secure lock down fastenings for use at sea and to discourage break-ins.
The windows lie at around 30degrees to horizontal and I plan to secure the hook part of the faster to the window frame. the latch part of the faster will be secured to the vertical wood sides coming up from the deck.

Unfortunately these catches are designed to be used at 90 degree only.
We have a similar catch which is part number 6180209.
Please search for that & see if it is suitable.
